is situated close to the border with Ecuador, on the mountain road connecting Jaén in Peru with the towns of Vilcabamba and Loja in the highlands of Ecuador, a scenic drive of great variety.

You’ll find it on the Peruvian side, 1 km from the bridge in Namballe and 5 km from the border at La Balsa.

It is about 6 hours drive from Vilcabamba, and about 4 hours from Jaén.

The road to Jaén is paved most of the way from San Ignacio.
